Mason Pearson work with only a few select trusted suppliers and have been ethically sourcing their boar bristles from the same companies since 1941. In the London factory, skilled technicians carefully sort these bristles by hand, selecting the best fit for each brush model.
At the same time, another team handcrafts the iconic rubber pad using techniques invented by the late Mason Pearson in the 19th century and patented in 1911. Making each hairbrush
involves a total of 18 stages – Mason Pearson believes in taking the time to do it right.
This includes six finishing stages where the hairbrush is repeatedly polished by hand and adorned
with gold foil on the handle.
